About Thrive Planners

Thrive Planners is a division of Sweet Citrus Design. Sweet Citrus Design is a small, entrepreneurial company working from the home we built in the countryside just outside of Racine, Wisconsin. (We sometimes joke that we’re just north of the Arctic Circle – while that’s not actually true, there are some days that sure feel like it!)

As we raised our children we discovered the importance and power of communicating a set of core values to them, and to help them learn to plan their lives.

It must have worked – each of our 3 children is incredible, the spouses they chose to bring into our family are delightful, and they’re all using similar strategies in raising their amazing children too!

(In case you’re wondering, they’ve given us 9 grandchildren so far – 4 girls and 5 boys. If we would have known how much fun having grandchildren would be, we might have skipped the kids altogether and gone straight for the grandkids!)

OK, getting back on subject… sometimes I wander!

Sweet Citrus Design was created from the little things we learned from raising those three little ones (maybe little’s no longer the right word, the shortest one’s 5’ 10”,) and our mission flows from those learnings:

Our mission is to give you easy and inexpensive ways to plan your life and to show others what’s important to you, making a better world in the process!

Along with that mission, we place tremendous value in building lasting relationships with those we serve, listening, and proactively taking action to improve their lives and the world in every way we can.

We also believe in giving back: donating at least 11% of everything we take out of the business to charity. And, since we believe that cash can only solve a small percentage of the challenges this world faces, we also commit at least 5% of our time to serving those around us – most of that time devoted to building strong families in our local community and the world.

Finally, we’re also committed to building ourselves: devoting 5% of our time and revenue to learning, because we realize that knowledge is the key to ensuring that we will always be effective as we seek to contribute to the world.

There - we thought it important to let you know what drives us – as we believe that what’s at a person’s core shapes how they act and do business. If you have similar beliefs, suggestions for products we should create, improvements on the ones we offer, or ideas on how we can better live these values, we'd love to hear from you.
